Here's some of the latest pictures of the house. The carpenters should be finished with the inside this week. Then the painters begin, then flooring, then countertops, then we move in :)!!! We are hoping for a September move in date. Oh, yeah...... the stone will be put on the outside of the house next week.
Those chairs will not be staying. :) That is where the workers take their breaks.
Part of the living room, bar and kitchen.

Closer shot of the kitchen. Chris is working on the island. His rear is pointing toward the sink, his left sholder is toward the stove and to the right of the stove will be the fridge.

As you can see I was playing with paint colors. We will not be using the middle color that looks a little on the yellow side. The other two are keepers for the living room. The pics a little dark so you can't quite tell but they are sage green and tan. We are into earth tones.
Master bedroom. The lighter of the two colors is the same tan that is in the living room. Not sure what we will be doing for the bedroom yet. We might use the tan for the bedroom and go one shade lighter for the living room.

Master bath. It will be a double sink, so should we have two mirrors or one big one??

Part of the master closet. Ladies, those shelves on the back wall that are at a slant are for my shoes and the underneath space for boots. How fun is that!

Utility. That's it for the down stairs pics. Movin' on to the upstairs. Hang in there, only a few more.

Partial shot of Kevin's office space. We will be staining the pine a darker shade.

Kennedy's room. Actually it's about double the size of what is actually shown. Both upstairs bedrooms have a window seat across one wall.

Spare room.
And that does it for the house update. Thanks for visiting!
Yay - welcome back to blogger land! A few things: 1) Don't see why the white plastic chairs won't be staying, they add a nice touch. 2) My vote is for 2 mirrors above the sinks in your bathroom. And 3) LOVE the shoe shelves! Can't wait to see it in person. What color will you paint Kennedy's room?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen for the response. We think (but haven't sampled any yet) her room will be a silvery/grey white color. If that makes any sense!!
ReplyDeletewow! Looks great. Love the pine chair rail or whatever it is called in the office. I will be in town this weekend and would love to see it in person. I also vote for 2 mirrors. Tons of fun
ReplyDeleteI vote for 2 mirrors...I wish I had 2 mirrors instead of 1 big one, and it is a big pain to change it now.
ReplyDeleteThe house looks GREAT! Can't wait to see it baby shower weekend!!! I, too, vote 2 mirrors.
ReplyDeleteI love the spot for shoes in your closet... and your huge, beautiful front porch! And I also vote for two mirrors. I would frame them liked pictures instead of just sticking them on the wall.
